Our Academics
At Mosaic, we concentrate on three main parts of the educational experience: adult led instruction, group learning and projects, and socialization.
Adult Led Instruction
We believe it’s helpful to simulate common classroom environments on a smaller scale for our homeschooled students. 10-15 minutes of weekly instruction teaches students to focus on a speaker and retain information and instructions given in a classroom setting.
Group and Hands on Learning
Cooperative and hands-on learning helps grow students into leaders and listeners. They learn how to communicate with other children their age to complete goals and assignments. From cooking to group challenges, there’s a new fun learning opportunity weekly!
Socialization
Socialization and learning how to communicate with each other is a vital skill. The combination of planned activities and clubs (like reading, art, and STEM) and free play allows the children to make friends and have fun. We hope these friendships last a lifetime!
Mosaic Student Fair!
We’re excited to give our students the chance to showcase some of their work, from both Mosaic and home, at our first annual Mosaic Student Fair!
Students put together creative and informative projects around their interests and we were proud to invite grandparents, non-regularly attending parents, and friends the chance to see their work!
In 2025/26, we had some awesome science projects, history displays, home economics presentations, and more!
Adventuring Together
We believe that some of the best learning happens beyond the classroom. Field trips and group activities extend our studies into the real world, allowing students to see concepts in action, ask questions, and make meaningful connections. Whether it’s exploring nature, visiting museums, or just engaging in the world together, these experiences bring lessons to life and foster curiosity, critical thinking, and a deeper understanding of the world.
Participation in field trips and gatherings are always optional, but they are a wonderful part of building up our community!
